Phillip, currently a college counselor and professor in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, is a Fulbright Alum to Portugal. While there, he was a professor of English and creative writing as well as a cultural ambassador for the United States. Phillip and his students created a project called Pessoas of Portugal which aims to raise awareness of Portuguese people and culture. You can read their stories and learn more on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. Phillip is currently working on a book of poetry about these experiences entitled Love Affair With Lisbon, and he was just published in an Emerging Writers of Non-Fiction Anthology from Z Publishing House. When Phillip isn't writing poetry or searching out misplaced commas in student essays, he is planning his next adventure abroad (see where he’s been!). You can also subscribe on YouTube to journey along with him!

Fellow author and former professor, Mark Ari, writes, "Phillip Wenturine is not reluctant. He is one of the most willing people I know. For Phillip, every moment has possibilities to explore, a life enhancing potential." These themes appear in his writing as he recaptures moments in the hopes of sharing emotion with his readers.
